Dr. Benson Nyambega

dr nyambega3Maseno University’s visibility as a global center for training and research is an important pre-requisite if we are to attract leading scientists and scholars from beyond our location for collaborative projects and long-term research engagements. Under the brand “Transforming Maseno into a Research University”, the Directorate of Research and Innovations, has always supported the corresponding initiatives in this area. One such initiative is policy implementation on research practice and ensuring that research is conducted within international guidelines that promote research integrity, as required to address scientific problems within the University and beyond. Ultimately, research marketing and visibility can help achieve the objectives of the internationalization strategies by the University, if we rely on broad participation and proactive engagement with other scholars in effective dissemination of research output.

We therefore acknowledge the role of the Maseno University conference organizing committee, who are working tirelessly towards hosting the international conference on research, science and innovation 2020 under the theme of “Enhancing human development and partnerships through training, research and innovation”, and the sub-themes of food and nutrition security, maternal, child health and nutrition and societal dynamics: technology, culture, language and crime. Through this conference, we will be promoting our international research marketing agenda by sharing of scholarly experiences with other local, regional and international research partners. It is envisaged that the conference will bring together scientific ideas and innovations through presentations and exhibitions by students, young scientists, research alumni researchers, key experts, technocrats, policy makers, industry leaders and international organizations.

I welcome all readers to this website and also sincerely extend an early invitation as we work towards an engaging conference in June 2020, where I hope you will find our scholarly discussions valuable to your current and future research endeavours.
