Submit Abstract

ABSTRACTS AND PAPER PRESENTATIONS

a) Call for Abstracts 

Participants are invited to submit their abstracts for paper presentations under the following three sub-themes:
• Food and Nutrition Security
• Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition
• Societal Dynamics: Technology, Culture, Language and Crime


b) Format for Submitting Abstracts
The Abstract should have a clear title, sub theme under which the paper/poster will be presented and include; author(s) name, affiliated institution(s) name and postal address of author(s), and corresponding author's telephone numbers and email addresses.

The abstract should NOT BE MORE THAN 250 WORDS, presented as; brief introduction (background, problem statement, justification and objective), methodology, key findings, conclusions and key words. It must be in word format, typed in Times New Romans, Font 12 and single spaced .submitted through the conference email address: conference@maseno.ac.ke not later than Monday 30th March, 2020.


All submitted abstracts will go through a panel review which will select the best abstracts for presentations. The acceptance of abstracts will be based on their scientific and technical quality and clarity of presentation. Successful applicants will be notified to prepare presentations and full papers. Full papers will be made publicly available through the Maseno University Conference Proceedings which will be published after the conference. Successful applicants will be notified by Wednesday 15th April, 2020 to submit their full papers. The full papers will be submitted by 22nd May, 2020 using the conference email address: conference@maseno.ac.ke


c) Format for Submitting Full Research Papers
The full paper should include the following basic information among others: Institution name and postal address, telephone number; email address of the authors. The full paper should have an abstract, key words, introduction (background, problem statement, justification and objective), methodology, key findings, conclusion and recommendations. All papers should be submitted in soft copy and should not be more than five (5) pages (inclusive of figures and tables).


POSTER SUBMISSION
a) Format for Submitting Posters
Poster presenters will be expected to send an abstract of not more than 250 words description for selection. Accepted presenters will then produce a poster for display at the conference. Maximum poster size is A0 (0.84 x 1.19 m) in portrait orientation.
